Participating in the Challenge is easy:
Enter your contact
details to get your free participant
pack in which you will find a range
of materials to
help you promote this event within your organisation and decide which
challenges your organisation might wish to take up. |
Nominate a Directeur Sportif and a deputy, whose
role it is to recruit team members and generally take responsibility
for co-ordinating your organisation’s team. This could be
the workplace travel plan coordinator, the chair of your bicycle
user group or simply someone who is keen to get involved. Click
here for further information on what this involves. |
The Directeur Sportif revisits the website and registers the team members and Directeur Sportif details online (by Friday 29 June at the latest) to enter the London Workplace Cycle Challenge 2007. Participants will then be automatically entered into a prize draw to win 2 VIP tickets to hospitality for the Grand Départ in London – the opening stage of the Tour. |
TfL will send you your team’s promotional
T-shirts. |
The Tour de France runs from Friday 6 until Sunday
29 July 2007 and this is the period for participants
to attempt their challenges! All cycling recorded during the challenge
period also goes towards the team Yellow Jersey total. To help
you record your progress download the Record
of Progress chart. |
The Directeur Sportif completes the Challenge Feedback Report Form
by Friday 17 August, telling us how you got on, plus any photos of
your activities that you may wish to send to publicise your efforts.
You will also be asked to complete an optional feedback questionnaire. |
After the Tour de France and challenge period ends TfL will be
in touch to thank your organisation for your involvement. |
After the event? We hope that you will continue to think about ways in which your organisation can improve your workplace travel. We will be in touch with information about other sources of advice and assistance to continue your personal and team challenges or encourage cycling generally at your workplace. |
